Percival Guevarra, M.A., is a writing consultant at the University of California, Irvine's Center for Excellence in Writing and Communication. After studying and performing improvisation in Hollywood, he began to reconsider academia's pedagogical approaches in multilingual settings and is currently conducting research on students' agency during the composition process.
